Meditation on Music At Somaiya COE

13th October 2018/ K J Somaiya Engineering College/ Naad Yoga Workshop:- Music is also a type of yoga.10th October is celebrated as World Mental Health Day.It is a day for global mental health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma.As part of World Mental day & Navratri Sadhana DIYA organised a workshop on *Secrets of positive mental health through Naad Yoga Music* at K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering,Vidyavihar Mumbai. Swayamsevaks of All World Gayatri Parivar have been practicing and propogating Naad Yoga Sadhana among the masses from days of yore for bringing mind to peaceful state.

Naad yoga is also been mentioned in various literary works of Yugrishi Pandit Shriram Sharma as yoga for attention & awareness, the way to inner vigilance and the practice of initiating inner sound.Naad yoga is one of the oldest forms of yoga, wherein sound effects, vibrations and resonances are observed for an effect on psychological and spiritual conditions.Dr Sudha Gupta,Dean of Students Affair expressed that stress is resilience and feelings of connection experienced by hearing the healing music of Naad. DIYA Snigdha Srivastava a luminous Alumni of the college was instrumental in organising the workshop.
