Spiritual upliftment through sacred tirthyatra to the Pious Peaks of Girnar mountain, junagadh Gujarat
Around 50 paarijans from across Mumbai & Gujarat gathered at Rajkot, Junagadh on 13th December 2019. The aim was spiritual upliftment through a sacred tirthyatra to the pious peaks of Girnar. Paarijans got a warm and compassionate welcome from Shri Kantibhai Pambhar and his wife Uma ben and his family on 13th December at Rajkot station. The team further freshened up at his residence and had delicious lunch together. Met senior paarijans like Mandanbhai Gorania, Dilipbhai Rajubhai Solanki , Ramnikbhai and others of Rajkot Gayatri Parivar.
On the way to Junagadh from Rajkot the team visited
- Jalaram Bapu Temple,
- Gayatri Shaktipeeth Khagvad and
- Shree Khodaldham Temple.
The team was awestruck as they learnt the history of this teerth shetras. Guruji had done the pran pratishta of Khagvad on 9th November 1981. The land of our Shaktipeeth was one on which Saint Jalaram Bapu use to park his vehicle when he came to Khagvad for collection of grains. The team listened to many mystical tales about Guruji from Sambhubhai who was a part of Pran Pratishta. Choked with emotions in voice he said we were humbled to have Guruji visit such small village and spend one hour with us. He added Guruji had predicted and blessed that Khagvad will become big teerta in days to come. Exactly few years from his visit Khodaldham temple was made which is one of the big teerth shetra. In evening the entire team halted at Shernath Bapu Ashram at foothills of Girnar. Expanding Love, Belongingness, Compassion the entire team had dinner together in the pious and serene ambience of Ashram. The mountain is visible from the Ashram just right in front. Girnar is the highest peak of state of Gujarat
Mount Girnar is home of lord Shiva and older than the Himalayas . The Jain temples upon Mount Girnar are amongst the most ancient in the country. Further it has temple of Ambaji temple which is amongst the 52 Shaktipeeths in India. There is a shrine of Gorkhnath who is revered highly in the nath sampradaya of hinduism and Lord Dattatreya and temple of his mother Anusaya mata.
Day II :- Early morning (on 14th December 2019 ) and the team was ready to climb and scale heights of devotion. Infused with deep desire and enthusiasm to meet the lord of the mountain the team found themselves awake at the crack of dawn, eager to begin the steep ascent at 3:00 am. Team and famouse cardiac doctor and leader of team Dr Anil Jha were at Foothills. Fervently chanting Gayatri Mantras and seeking blessings from Gurusatta and Shraddeya Drji the climb up began. Dr Pranav Pandyaji was subtly present with all youths guiding them, mentoring them.
At around 3900 steps was the first break and milestone achieved. Heads and hearts bowed in reverence at the majestic black Pratima of Bhagwan Neminath Prabhu 22nd Teertankar of Jains. Bearing the sudden change in gear the team climbed to second milestone at around 5500 steps to Ambaji temple. Inner revolutions were set into motion as they had darshans of Shakti. In deep silence the team experienced the subtle vibrations much needed for welfare of soul.
Then came Gorakhanath Peak at 3666 (6000 steps) feet which is highest point in Gujarat state. After climbing 2000 steps downwards and again that 2000 steps upwards comes Lord Dattatreya (little lower than Guru Gorakhnath) temple having his footprints ( padukas) inscribed (9999 steps). The team had darshan of Akhand Dhuni inside Gokarkshanath temple and at Kamandalu Kund. The climb back down the hill was bit treacherous. At foothills of Dattatreya Peak is Kamandalu kund. The team enjoyed Bhojan prasad and then around 1.30 pm the team started to unwind it’s journey back to foothills. On way back the team enjoyed the cool water of Gaumukhi Shrine and coolness of cave. Had satsang with the current devotee of the shrine. There was gush of prana from the living trees all around. Those monkeys kept us aware inspite of tiredness.
Throughout the journey paarijans were motivating each other, helping each other to reach the destination. Back at the Ashram all well doing massage for each other and sharing their experiences with each other. Post dinner the team was flat into the heavenly lap of Girnar Mountain.
Day III :- Next day morning (15th December 2019) the team before departing the team met together for Apno se Apni Baath. Gujarat team proceeded to Somnath darshan and Mumbai team back to Rajkot.
On way back to Rajkot Mumbai team visited
Damodar Kund and Temple which is associated with the legendary devotee Narasi Mehta.
Gayatri Shaktipeeth Junagadh. Had darshanas at Shaktipeeth.
Visited the cave backside hill of Shaktipeeth where Yugrishi meditated and was inspired to build the Shaktipeeth. Learnt lot of inspiring stories of Pathikji of Gayatri Parivar and Guruji.
Further from cave the team went deeper on trek to Mauni Babas Ashram. Had beautiful satsang with the divine soul. All were soaked in the Hanuman and Shriram Dhun at the temple.
Descending down the team had refreshing Kawa and lemon water. Post darshan at Shaktipeeth and team proceeded to final lap to catch train at Rajkot. At Rajkot the team met Shri Amrish Trivedi and Saryu Trivedi the divine Art of living teachers. Had a brief satsang evening snacks and back to Railway Station to catch train.
The journey has left deep and indelible mark on the soul of youths as they experienced unprecedented euphoria, purity and enthusiasm to continue on the spiritual journey they have selected with Yugrishi.
